Deadly Attraction by 365 Days of Color

Top o' marnin'! We're up to out second green post of the day, and sadly, it's one of two that is no longer available :( I hate to do this to you, but, due to my love of green polish- I have so many sitting in my drafts folder that didn't get posted while they were still readily available (for one reason or another). I hate to just drop them on you for no reason, but for a theme? Why not!

Deadly Attraction by 365 Days of Color, L-R: Two coats alone, one coat over LA Colors Color Craze Flicker, Sinful Colors Happy Ending. Deadly Attraction was a part of Sunny's Toxic Love Collection, a set of super sheer neons that was released last summer.

Here I've shown three coats over Maybelline Color Show Porcelain Party. Deadly Attraction is a very sheer neon yellow-green base with black shreds.

Over white, Deadly Attraction appears far more yellow than green, but it's green in the bottle, so that still counts, right?

And here we have two coats over Sinful Colors Happy Ending.

Deadly Attraction was a bit light on glitter, requiring some fishing and/or a few coats to build up a sizeable amount. It's a great accent polish, rather than the star of the show. 365 Days of Color polishes are consistently amazing, and I can't recommend them enough! You can see Sunny's current lineup here, or check out my previous 365 Days of Color reviews: Boouk!, Trimming the Tree, Santa Baby, and Gimme Some Bubbly. Sunny is also an amazing blogger, whom you should definitely follow, and is active with 365 DoC on Facebook

NEW 31 Day Challenge: Inspired by a Blogger

Today's theme was a tough one! I follow so many amazing bloggers, not to mention all of the amazing manis put forth by all of the ladies participating in this challenge! I had so many set aside for the recreate day, that I thought I would use one of them for today :)

I was inspired by this mani by Nails by Ms. Lizard, but I was in NO mood to do a watermarble at the moment. So, as this one is only inspired, I added my own take on it. I started with a coat of Revlon Top Speed Spirit (creme white) and stamped using Sinful Colors Black on Black and the watermarble-y design from RA plate 107. I then took a few striping polishes- Kiss Nail Art Bikini Pink and Beach Green, and Sinful Colors Me First, and painted over most of the white areas left beneath the stamping. It took me a few nails to get the hang of it, but I ended up loving it! I especially love my ring finger, and how the neon yellow at the tip looks like a heart :)

There you have it, dears! Inspired by the lovely Ms. Lizard- be sure to check out her mani, as well as the rest of the challengers in the links below!

NEW 31DC: Saran Wrap

Today's mani represents another brand new (to me) technique, the saran wrap mani! Though, in the spirit of full disclosure, I didn't have any saran wrap in the house, so I had to use cut up bits of a sandwich bag.

I began with a base of LA Colors Color Craze in Flicker, then Seche Vite. Once that was completely dry, I painted on Rimmel Sunset Orange, bunched up my bit of baggie and dabbed it off a bit. One nail at a time, of course. Then I painted on Sinful Colors Cream Pink about halfway up my nail, and dabbed that off a bit.

I love the overall effect of this, especially since the yellow and orange are very jelly-ish, but I don't think I quite got the hang of it until I hit my ring finger- my ring and pinkie are by far my favorites :)

NEW 31 Day Challenge: Ombre/Skittle

Ugh, Monday again! And I'm late posting, because I THOUGHT I had this drafted already, but did not. And I was running late for work this morning. But that's alright, because today's mani cheered me right up! Our prompt for today was Ombre or Skittle.

This mani was a bit of an accident. I painted the base colors, and planned on doing some stamping over them. Then I got a last minute dinner invitation, and dinged my middle finger while washing my hair :( Not wanting to start over, I planned on doing another layering of polish, but then I loved the funky French tip so much that I repeated it on all my other nails!

Base polishes, thumb-pinkie: Sinful Colors Dream On, Sinful Colors Cream Pink, Rimmel Sunset Orange over Wet N Wild Sunny Side Up, LA Colors Flicker over Sally Hansen Insta Dri Lightening, and Sinful Colors Happy Ending. The French tips were drawn on freehand, using (thumb to pinkie again) Sinful Colors Cream Pink, Sally Hansen Insta Dri Presto Pink, Wet N Wild Sunny Side Up, Sally Hansen Insta Dri Lightening, and Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Limestone.

Simple, but what do you think? I LOVE the neons in the dead of winter- really livened things up a bit! Check out the other Skittle manis in the links below!
