Daring Digits Warlock: Swatch and Review

A few months ago, I won an amazing giveaway by Ashley of Daring Digits. My prize was a $4o gift certificate to her Big Cartel shop, and with that $40, between sales and multiples size offerings, I was able to snap up 7 polishes! I'm sorry they took so long to make it to the blog, but they'll all be up for show soon!

First up is Warlock, as it only seemed appropriate for the coming holiday :) Warlock is a sheer hot red jelly filled with holo red/orange glitters as well as multiple sizes of iridescent hexes. Plus iridescent squares! First three photos show three coats alone, topped with Out the Door. Photos taken under Ott Lite.

As you can see, Warlock is very sheer on its own. I'm not bothered by VNL in the least, but if you are, it would be better layered.

I highly recommend clicking to enlarge these closeup photos. I absolutely adore the glitter mix here, and there is some amazing tiny sparkle that you really want to see as large and possible.

These two photos show two coats of Warlock over Wet N Wild Red Red. Again, enlarge the closeup shot for a great view of the microglitter!

I'm not gonna lie, Warlock had a strong odor. It smelled like the acrylic used at salons. Of the 7 polishes I got (and all of the Daring Digits polishes I've purchased in the past), only two had that smell (this and Mage), and Daring Digits has since quit using the offending base. Application was great with no glitter fishing. As it's a jelly, you'll want to wait for each coat to dry before adding another to prevent dragging.

Warlock is no longer available in the Daring Digits shop (but check it out anyway, because I've never had a bad experience with DD polish!), but it IS still available through Mei Mei's Signatures. Stop by Facebook and pay some love to Ashley and Daring Digits as well!

*This polish was won in a giveaway. All opinions expressed are my own.
